Waiting is one of life’s frustrations. We seem constantly to be waiting for something; the traffic to clear, the weather to change, for vacation time to come, or the check that is supposed to come in the mail. The list goes on. But the Bible speaks to waiting in a very interesting way.
In Psalm 27:13-14 we are reminded: “I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord: be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”
We are further admonished in Psalm 31: 23-24 : “Love the Lord, all you his saints! The Lord preserves the faithful but abundantly repays the one who acts in pride. Be stong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord.”
Let us always pray that His will be done in our lives as we navigate the uneven paths of life here on earth.
